Vinyāsa Krama Ethics

  1. Beneficence – Be of practical benefit for the student and cause no harm.

  2. Autonomy – The student has the right to reject the treatment or instruction.

  3. Respect – The student and teacher are to be treated with respect.

  4. Informed Consent – The student should be advised about the practice or technique in advance, as much as is practical. The latter also applies to any fees involved.

  5. Justice – Fair treatment of all students regardless of age, ability, race, or sex.

Guidelines

In Person & Online Practice Guidelines

Before Practice

  • Avoid eating for at least two hours before class.

  • Refrain from drinking water 30 minutes before practice.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

  • For menstruating individuals: Please attend only the Chandra Krama series during your period (the first three days). It’s important to avoid tamasic (yang) practices during this time. Most importantly, listen to your body and honor how you feel.

  • No shoes or socks on the mat.

Equipment Recommendations

  • I recommend purchasing your own yoga mat. YogaMatters offers a great selection at affordable prices.

In-Person Group Classes

  • Please bring your own towel, yoga mat, and blanket.

  • If you don’t have a mat or blanket, these can be provided.

  • Blocks and straps will be provided and bolsters when practicing New Moon at Llangybi.

Zoom Classes

  • For online classes, please have the following equipment ready: yoga mat, blanket, two blocks, and a yoga strap.

  • Your camera must remain on throughout the class and be positioned so I can clearly see your practice. This allows me to provide real-time instruction and adjustments.

  • Students who keep their cameras off will be asked to leave the class without a refund.

I’m here to support your practice every step of the way — thank you for helping create a focused and connected class environment.

Looking forward to practicing together!
